The Central Region Homeland Security Advisory Council, in partnership with the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), hosted a Law Enforcement Active Shooter Response Course (LASER) training at North High School in Worcester August 7-9, 2019. The training was presented by Louisiana State University's National Center for Biomedical Research and Training. The LASER training "addresses technical aspects of planning and implementing a rapid law enforcement deployment to an active shooter incident through classroom presentations, hands-on performance-based field training, and scenario-based practical exercises."
